What is FCM Wallet?

FCM Wallet is a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that supports 100+ blockchains. It allows you to securely store, send, receive, and swap digital assets while maintaining full control of your private keys. Available on iOS, Android, and desktop platforms.

How do I create a new wallet?

To create a new wallet:

  1. Download FCM Wallet from your app store or our website
  2. Open the app and select "Create New Wallet"
  3. Create a strong password
  4. Write down your 12 or 24-word seed phrase and store it safely
  5. Verify your seed phrase
  6. Your wallet is ready to use!

Important: Never share your seed phrase with anyone. It's the only way to recover your wallet.

How do I import an existing wallet?

To import an existing wallet:

  1. Open FCM Wallet and select "Import Wallet"
  2. Choose your import method: Seed Phrase or Private Key
  3. Enter your seed phrase or private key
  4. Create a password for the wallet
  5. Your wallet will be imported and ready to use

Security

How do I keep my wallet secure?

Follow these security best practices:

  • Never share your seed phrase or private keys
  • Store your seed phrase offline in a secure location
  • Enable biometric authentication (fingerprint/face ID)
  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Keep your app and device software updated
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts and fake websites
  • Double-check addresses before sending transactions

What if I lose my seed phrase?

Unfortunately, if you lose your seed phrase and don't have access to your wallet, there is no way to recover it. FCM Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, meaning we don't have access to your seed phrase or private keys. This is why it's crucial to:

  • Write down your seed phrase when creating your wallet
  • Store multiple copies in secure, separate locations
  • Never store it digitally or take photos of it
  • Consider using a hardware wallet for additional security

Transactions

How do I send cryptocurrency?

To send cryptocurrency:

  1. Select the asset you want to send
  2. Tap "Send"
  3. Enter the recipient's wallet address or scan their QR code
  4. Enter the amount to send
  5. Review the transaction details and network fee
  6. Confirm the transaction

Always double-check the recipient address and amount before confirming.

Why is my transaction pending?

Transactions can be pending for several reasons:

  • Network congestion: High network activity can slow confirmations
  • Low gas/network fee: Setting a low fee may delay your transaction
  • Blockchain confirmations: Different blockchains require different confirmation times

Most transactions complete within minutes to hours. If your transaction is pending for more than 24 hours, contact support with your transaction hash.

How do I swap tokens?

FCM Wallet includes a built-in DEX aggregator for token swaps:

  1. Go to the "Swap" tab
  2. Select the token you want to swap from
  3. Select the token you want to receive
  4. Enter the amount
  5. Review the exchange rate and fees
  6. Confirm the swap

The app automatically finds the best rates across multiple DEXs.

Staking & DeFi

How do I stake my crypto?

To stake supported cryptocurrencies:

  1. Select the asset you want to stake
  2. Tap on "Stake" or go to the Earn tab
  3. Choose a validator or staking pool
  4. Enter the amount to stake
  5. Review the staking terms and APY
  6. Confirm the transaction

Remember that staked assets usually have an unbonding period before you can withdraw them.

Technical Issues

The app is crashing or not working properly

If you're experiencing app crashes or performance issues, try these steps:

  1. Update to the latest version of FCM Wallet
  2. Clear the app cache (Settings > App > Clear Cache)
  3. Restart your device
  4. Check if you have enough storage space
  5. Reinstall the app if issues persist

If problems continue, contact support with your device model and OS version.

I can't connect to the network

Network connection issues can be resolved by:

  • Checking your internet connection
  • Switching between WiFi and mobile data
  • Checking if FCM Wallet servers are operational (see System Status below)
  • Disabling VPN if you're using one
  • Trying a different network RPC if available in settings

Mobile & Desktop

How do I sync my wallet across devices?

FCM Wallet doesn't automatically sync across devices for security reasons. To access your wallet on multiple devices:

  1. Install FCM Wallet on your new device
  2. Select "Import Wallet"
  3. Enter your seed phrase from your original wallet
  4. Create a password for the new device

Important: Never share your seed phrase digitally. Write it down and enter it manually.

What's the difference between mobile and desktop versions?

While core features are the same, there are some differences:

  • Mobile: Biometric authentication, QR code scanning, push notifications
  • Desktop: Hardware wallet support, advanced transaction tools, multi-window support
  • Browser Extension: DApp integration, web3 injection, quick access

All versions support the same wallets and can be used interchangeably with your seed phrase.
